How not to pay for months you didn't use
- Put the renewal date in your calendar the moment you start a trial, a day early.
- Cancel straight away if you only want the trial: on most sites you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Check their terms.
- If you paid through Apple or Google Play, cancel in your phone's subscription settings, not in the app.

Why do trials cost more than they look?
Most paid trials turn into a monthly subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel. The trial price is the headline; the monthly price is in the small print.
Where do I find the monthly price?
On the site's pricing or upgrade page, at the checkout, or in its terms. If you can't find it before paying, treat that as a warning sign.
Does the calculator know each site's prices?
No, on purpose. Prices change and depend on offers, so you type what you see. For brands where we read prices on their own page, our cost pages list them with the date we checked.
