Our take
SaucyDates is a casual dating site and app run by DMCUBED LTD, registered in Chester in England. Joining, browsing and sending introductory or 'Hot' messages are free; unlimited messaging needs a VIP upgrade. The Irish App Store listing shows VIP access in euro, and says subscriptions come in 1, 3, 6 and 12 month lengths priced in local currency.
It uses a face-liveness check to help verify ages and catch fake accounts, and the homepage says SaucyDates does not create profiles to simulate member interest. The terms also say profiles may be displayed across other platforms run by the same company.
Its website has country guides for places such as the UK, the US and Australia, but not Ireland, so expect a smaller local pool than on bigger apps. Cancelling depends on which payment provider handled your subscription, and the billing page explains each one clearly.
Who runs it: DMCUBED LTD, according to SaucyDates's own terms.
Good for
- Adults who want a straightforward casual app with free ways to show interest

Avoid if…
- You want a site with a large, clearly Irish member base
- You'd rather your profile appeared on one site only, not across the operator's other platforms
Pros

- Clear billing page with cancellation steps for each payment provider
- Face-liveness verification
Cons
- No Ireland-specific guide or community pages on the website
- Profiles may be shown across the operator's other platforms
- Statutory cancellation right is lost once paid access starts, per the terms

Leaving SaucyDates
SaucyDates bills through different providers depending on your device, app and country, and each is cancelled differently. Recurring subscriptions renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. After you cancel, VIP access continues until the paid term ends.
Cooling-off and refunds: SaucyDates' terms say that by buying upgraded access you ask for the service to start immediately and lose your statutory right to cancel once access begins. Refunds are considered case by case under consumer law and the payment provider's policies. Contact support if you think a charge is wrong.

SaucyDates: questions people ask
Why can't I delete my SaucyDates account?
Deletion is blocked while a subscription is active or not yet expired. Cancel billing with your payment provider first; once it ends, deletion becomes available, or support can lift the block if you confirm billing has stopped.
Can I get a refund from SaucyDates?
The terms say refunds are considered case by case under consumer law and the payment provider's policies, and that buying upgraded access means you lose the statutory right to cancel once access begins.
Does cancelling end my access straight away?
No. The billing page says VIP access continues until the original paid term ends. Cancelling a three-month plan after two months leaves one month of access.
